Our longest running Get Together, The Duke of Cambridge coffee morning (every Monday from 12 – 2pm) recently celebrated it’s 1 year anniversary. Tea and coffee was shared as usual, with the addition of a very special Age UK Islington cake!

The group of local neighbours from St Peter’s Street and further afield have been meeting every week over the last year to enjoy coffee, tea and delicious biscuits kindly put on by The Duke of Cambridge pub. From not knowing their neighbours, some of the group realised they had been living on the same street for their whole lives and didn’t meet until joining the group.

Now The Duke of Cambridge Get Together is a lively, very active and exciting group full of lovely local people who have become good friends. Amongst their activities over the last year, Duke of Cambridge Get Together have enjoyed days out to Brighton and Hastings amongst others, a visiting artist’s local history project, gallery visits (recently to William Morris’ house) as well as the kind support, conversation and encouragement from their thoroughly comitted Age UK Islington host, Diane.

Thank you all for your attendance and enthusiasm over the last year, we are all looking forward to seeing what the next year will bring!

Congratulations!

Thanks to our client and regular volunteer Erlinda for the lovely photos!
