We have been lucky enough to be granted another series of trips out on the Angel Boats this September. All aboard for more fun on the waterways – see London from a very different angle, meet new people and learn about the boat from Captain John!

Last week our group had a lovely time making their way at a leisurely pace along the Regent’s Canal from Angel to Camden, stopping off for lunch before heading home.

Tomorrow we have another group heading off to Little Venice, if you would like to join us in September give us a call!

Call Activities Manager Ellie Shipman on 0207 281 6018 to BOOK YOUR PLACE!

Last Wednesday we enjoyed a lovely afternoon with local photographer Peter. Peter taught the group how to observe the local area in a creative and imaginative way through using the cameras to focus on unusual angles and perspectives, from the changing regeneration of the area to the architecture of a local church.

One of our group, Dave, had never held a camera before, and took to it like a duck to water! Dave was nicknamed David Bailey by the end of the session…

This week we will be processing the photos and cutting them down to the final edit. Looking forward to seeing the fruits of our labour!

Come and join us at the Arc Centre this Wednesday from 2 – 4pm to meet Peter the photographer and join in with games, bingo and tea and cake.

Call Ellie for more information on 0207 281 6018. Hope to see you there!

This Sunday we headed off to Sobell Leisure Centre for more table tennis fun! George also taught us a new card game, which was great fun – thoroughly competitive and even ‘a little bit cruel’ as George said, and could certainly while away many hours!

This Sunday saw skipping, games, cards and table tennis at Sobell Leisure Centre for another fantastic afternoon. Several new faces turned up to get involved, and were soon chatting away and making new friends. One lady, aged 86, even completed 12 jumps on the skipping rope! Four more attendees will come together to the Get Together at Pips Dish this Wednesday for the free homemade lunch and continue where they left off there!
