Yesterday at Sobell Leisure Centre we welcomed in several new clients to our Get Together for table tennis and cards (plus a few biscuits) as well as joining in with our regulars.

We had a lovely afternoon playing doubles on the table tennis and Rummi on the card table. Everyone enjoyed themselves and also found out about some of our new activities coming up this week – including the Oxfam Book Club this evening at 7.30 – 8.30pm on Upper St, and our second session of our local history project at the Duke of Cambridge pub today, as well as our regular coffee afternoon in Italian café Cucina 327 on Caledonian Road.

Come and join us or call Ellie for more information on 0207 281 6018.

This Sunday we headed off to Sobell Leisure Centre for more table tennis fun! George also taught us a new card game, which was great fun – thoroughly competitive and even ‘a little bit cruel’ as George said, and could certainly while away many hours!

Join us again at King Henry’s Walk Garden, 2 – 3.30pm for some painting in the garden this Saturday, or at  Sobell Leisure Centre from 4 – 6pm on Sunday – just drop in for chat, tea and table tennis!

See you there!

This Sunday saw skipping, games, cards and table tennis at Sobell Leisure Centre for another fantastic afternoon. Several new faces turned up to get involved, and were soon chatting away and making new friends. One lady, aged 86, even completed 12 jumps on the skipping rope! Four more attendees will come together to the Get Together at Pips Dish this Wednesday for the free homemade lunch and continue where they left off there!
